On Tuesday, February 20, 2018 the city council heard public testimony regarding the proposed changes to our city’s smoking ordinances.

As with any piece of legislation that bans or restricts something in the private sector, my first concern is individual freedoms. The counter argument has been made that the rights of the smoker do not extend to inflicting second hand smoke on others.
